Proxy Bypass · Last updated: July 22, 2026
Short version: Proxy Bypass does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All settings stay on your device, and the only server involved is the proxy you configure yourself.
Proxy Bypass routes traffic for websites you select through a proxy server that you configure (SOCKS5, SOCKS4, HTTPS, or HTTP), while the rest of your traffic connects directly. Applying your proxy configuration to the browser is its only purpose. The extension does not include or provide any proxy service — you bring your own proxy server.
None. The extension does not collect, log, or transmit any personal or usage data. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. Your browsing history is never recorded or sent anywhere.
The extension stores only its own settings — proxy address and port, proxy type, operating mode, your list of domains to proxy, and port exceptions — locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This is done solely to remember your configuration between sessions. This information never leaves your device and is removed when the extension is uninstalled.
When the extension is enabled, your browser sends traffic for the sites you selected to the proxy server you specified. We do not operate, provide, or have access to any proxy server, and we cannot see any of that traffic.
The optional "Test connection" button sends two HEAD requests — to httpbin.org and www.youtube.com — solely to verify that your configured proxy accepts connections and can reach a commonly proxied site. These requests carry no personal data, and their results are shown only to you and stored nowhere.
The log shown in the extension popup exists only in the extension's memory on your device, is visible only to you, and is discarded when the extension's background process stops. It is never transmitted.
The extension requests the proxy permission to apply your proxy configuration via the browser's proxy settings API, and the storage permission to save your settings locally. Its access to httpbin.org and www.youtube.com is used only by the "Test connection" feature described above. It does not read your browsing history, the contents of your tabs, your bookmarks, or your cookies.
We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any. There are no advertising networks, analytics providers, or external services involved.
The extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
